บางนายมีชื่อสลักแล้ว แต่หาศพเจอก็จะมีดาวติดไว้ และนำศพไปฝังในสุสานด้านหน้าพร้อมป้ายหลุมศพประจำตัว หรืออาจส่งกลับไปยังเมืองบ้านเกิดถ้าญาติต้องการ
ทหารที่เสียชีวิตและฝังในสุสานนี้เป็นผู้ได้รับเหรียญกล้าหาญ คองเกรสชั่นแนล เมดัล ออฟ ออนเนอร์ (ชั้นสูงสุดของเมกา) ๓ นาย เป็นพี่น้องกัน ๔๑ นาย
สุสสานนี้บริหารจัดการโดย คณะกรรมมาธิการอนุสรณ์สถานสงครามสหรัฐฯ

ที่ราบเหนือสันหาดในรูปร่วมสมัยหลังยึดหาดได้แล้ว เป็นพื้นที่ราบก่อนถึงแนวสันหาด (sea wall)
ชายฝั่งหาดโอมาฮ่า จากทะเลจะแบ่งได้เป็น ๓ ส่วนคือ
๑. ชายหาดทราย ความกว้างขึ้นกับน้ำขึ้น น้ำลง มีสันหาด ซึ่งทหารที่วิ่งข้างหาดทรายไปได้ใช้เป็นที่กำบัง ตามที่เห็นในหนัง เซฟวิ่งฯ และ เดอะ ลองเกสเดย์
๒. ที่ราบเหนือสันหาดตามภาพที่แล้ว และภาพนี้
๓. แนวเนินที่ราบสูงภาพต่อไป
